Alex and Mike had their first date on March 16, 2017 at the Clover Club in Brooklyn, NY. Maybe it was lucky- we’ve been together ever since! We moved into our first apartment together in Brooklyn in 2019, and during Covid, we spontaneously moved to Berlin and left our jobs in 2020. Since then, we’ve supported one another through master’s degree programs, new careers, and living long distance between Berlin and Nairobi for three years.

Now we are excited to be living together again and settling into our new home in Berlin. Our families and friends have shown us so much love and support throughout our adventurous journey these last 9 years. We are so excited to celebrate our love with you all and formally kick off our lifetime together in one of the first countries we ever traveled to together- Portugal!
